Ready for the next layer?

 Here we are admiring the first layer of dye that we did last week.   Karen had a great time trying everything.    Betsy (below) showed off her fabrics.

 This was a piece of scrunch and run, then wrapped on a PVC pole and compressed and painted with thickened black dye.  Today I again wrapped and comprerssed and painted it with "Soft Scrub with Bleach" that gave me the light chevrons in the dark background.  Honestly this piece of fabric is really nice with both the dark and light slashing through it.  I need to do more of this technique.

Next week we will be adding another layer of embellishing.  I'm excited to see what came out for the students they were all very busy putting on resist and painting with thickened dyes.  See you next week.
